A friend informed me that this would be released on RSD a couple of days before RSD. I made it my priority to find a place that had a good quantity because I simply had to have it.
Plaid Room in Cincinnati had 38 copies! I waited in line for 4.5 hours and watched the stock dwindle to 16 before I got mine. It's rare for me to get all jittery about a release but this one had me all worked up! I've been after a copy since it came out and sold 6 million copies. It's a masterpiece and the dynamic range of this version blows me away! I had goosebumps when the intro faded into the first track. The bass is perfect.

It would be cruel not to do a wide release but that could be the case. They've pretty much made the ebay rounds easily clearing $100 a piece by the flippers. I reacquainted myself with the music and I found things in there that I never noticed before. The production and orchestration is truly exceptional. I hope everyone gets a chance to spin this double LP.
